BEAUTY CARE VOLUNTEER *Involves Direct Resident Contact

LOCATION: Laura’s Home- 18120 Puritas Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44135

AVAILABLE TIMES: work with volunteer coordinator to schedule times

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Instruct women about the importance of good personal hygiene of hair, skin and nails – including information about various hair, skin and nail care products and their usage
  2. Cut and style women and children’s hair as needed
  3. Provide manicures, facials and/or make-overs as needed
  4. Manage Hair Care area, including necessary supplies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Professional certification of hair techniques and current licensure OR previous experience as manicurist or make-up/beauty consultant
  2. Free of an addictive lifestyle
  3. Understanding of the boundaries pertaining to the position
  4. Work respectfully under TCM staff
  5. Abides by the TCM’s Statement of Faith at all times
  6. Have the skills necessary to complete the tasks pertaining to the position

ONBOARDING EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Attend Volunteering 101 Session
  2. Complete Online Application
  3. Sign Volunteer Waiver
  4. Acknowledge Statement of Faith
  5. Onsite Visit and Tour of Salon
  6. Background check (only if regular attendance is expected)
